It’s been another strong month across the business, with continued growth in our teams, new appointments, and fresh insights across the legal, finance, and family office markets.

We’re pleased to welcome Charlie Hill to the team as Principal Recruitment Consultant within our Finance & Accountancy division. Charlie brings extensive experience across banking, financial services and specialist recruitment, and will play a key role in supporting clients across a wide range of accountancy and finance appointments, from junior roles through to senior leadership.

We’re also proud to celebrate Abbie Hayes on her promotion to Assistant Management Accountant. Abbie has made a real impact across both Achieve Hospitality and Achieve Professionals, and her progression alongside her AAT Level 4 studies reflects her ongoing commitment and development.

Welcome to the Team Charlie Hill- Accountancy & Financial Services Consultant

We are delighted to welcome Charlie Hill to the Achieve Professionals team this week. Charlie joins us as Principal Recruitment Consultant for Accountancy & Financial Services.

Charlie joins us with an impressive background spanning financial services, banking and specialist recruitment. Prior to moving into recruitment, Charlie built a successful career within the banking sector, including leading teams as a Bank Manager.

Over the past several years, Charlie has specialised in Accountancy & Financial Services recruitment, partnering with financial institutions and professional services organisations to attract, recruit and retain high-performing talent. Most recently, he worked within a financial services recruitment group, supporting clients across finance and accountancy and developing an extensive network within the sector.

At Achieve Professionals, Charlie will work within our Finance & Accountancy division, supporting accountancy practices, SMEs and large organisations with recruitment across junior, qualified, senior leadership and board-level appointments. He will work closely with our existing and growing client portfolio, delivering consultative recruitment solutions that our clients have come to expect.

1. Family Office: Global Investment Strategies Continue to Diversify- As highlighted in the UBS Global Family Office Report 2026, family offices are continuing to diversify their investment portfolios in response to geopolitical uncertainty and changing market conditions. The report found that almost 60% of family offices plan to adjust their strategic asset allocation over the next 12 months, with growing interest in private markets, AI, infrastructure and healthcare investments. The findings also suggest that preserving long-term wealth remains a greater priority than pursuing higher-risk returns. Read more.

Family Office: Succession Planning Remains a Global Priority- According to the UBS Global Family Office Report 2026, succession planning continues to be one of the biggest challenges facing family offices worldwide. Whilst investment operations have become increasingly sophisticated, only around one-third of family offices have formal succession plans in place for the office itself, highlighting the growing importance of governance, next-generation engagement and long-term continuity planning. Family Office: Greater Regulatory Scrutiny Across Global Wealth Structures- As reported by Wealth & Society, family offices worldwide are operating under increasing regulatory scrutiny as governments strengthen transparency, beneficial ownership and anti-money laundering requirements. With more than 8,000 single-family offices now managing an estimated $3 trillion globally, compliance, governance and robust operational structures are becoming increasingly important for private wealth organisations. UK Legal Market: AML Reforms Introduced for Professional Services- According to ICAEW Regulatory News, the UK Government has approved amendments to the Anti-Money Laundering Regulations aimed at improving the effectiveness of compliance whilst reducing unnecessary administrative burdens. The changes will impact law firms, accountants and other regulated businesses, making it essential for firms to review internal compliance procedures ahead of implementation. Read more.

US Legal Market: AI Governance Becomes a Strategic Priority- As discussed in recent ICAEW Insights covering developments across the global legal profession, US law firms are increasingly moving beyond AI experimentation towards formal governance frameworks. Firms are investing in policies covering responsible AI use, client confidentiality, cybersecurity and employee training as generative AI becomes embedded into legal operations and client service delivery. UK Finance & Accountancy: Sustainability Skills Continue to Grow in Demand- According to ICAEW, demand for sustainability reporting and assurance expertise continues to rise as businesses respond to increasing investor expectations and evolving ESG reporting requirements. New guidance issued by the Institute highlights the growing role finance professionals play in helping organisations deliver reliable sustainability reporting, making ESG knowledge an increasingly valuable skill across the profession. UK Finance & Accountancy: HMRC Consults on New Debt Recovery Measures- As reported by ICAEW, the UK Government has launched consultations on proposals that would allow HMRC to recover certain low-value tax debts directly through bank deductions.
