US/UK Tax Senior Associate (HNW)

Working arrangement: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
 
Overview and Opportunity
 
We are searching for a Tax Senior Associate to join our clients team in their HNW department, working across the UK and US.
 
Job description
 
This role will see you responsible for preparing tax returns for both the US and UK from a large portfolio of clients within the HNW team.
 
The firm are also willing to support career development and will happily provide any further study support.
 
Main Responsibilities:

  • Have a full understanding of the client’s position and be able to discuss and advise on payments being due, a nil liability, or a repayment 
  • Working with clients to prevent double taxation, especially when the client works across multiple jurisdictions
  • Identify and understand tax filing requirements and the consequences of US ownership of non-US entities and vice versa
  • Regular review of straight forward tax returns
  • Self-reviewing your work before passing it onto a manager for review and ensuring that all information and data is accurate
  • Provide clients with accurate lists of information needed to complete a tax return; ensuring that missing information are identified and potential tax issues are flagged for managers

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in personal/private Tax or Mixed Tax experience in a similar role within a practice environment is essential
  • Strong technical knowledge and the ability to carry out research into complex areas of tax legislation  
  • CTA/ACA/ACCA/CA (or equivalent) qualified
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
