A leading accountancy practice is looking to appoint a Tax Advisory Manager to their growing tax team in Preston.
 
Job description:
 
You’ll provide a range of tax and business advisory services to clients ranging from fast-growing businesses to larger corporate entities, while working closely with Partners on more complex advisory projects.
 
This role would suit an ambitious and self-starting tax professional who enjoys working closely with clients and wants to take ownership of a varied portfolio.
 
Main responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, taking ownership of client relationships and service delivery
  • Provide a range of tax and business advisory services to a diverse client base
  • Advise clients on a variety of tax matters, tailoring advice to their individual circumstances
  • Support Partners with the delivery of complex tax advisory projects
  • Develop strong, long-term relationships with clients and act as a trusted point of contact
  • Contribute to workflow planning and oversee work across the wider team
  • Monitor client assignments to ensure deadlines, quality, and commercial targets are met
  • Identify opportunities to develop existing client relationships and support business growth
  • Attend client meetings and play an active role in delivering face-to-face advisory services
  • Keep up to date with developments in tax legislation and undertake technical research where required

Ideal Candidate:

  • CTA, ACA, ACCA, CA (or equivalent) qualified
  • Previous Corporate Tax or Mixed Tax experience within an accountancy practice
  • Strong technical knowledge across UK taxation
  • Confident researching and interpreting complex areas of tax legislation
  • Commercially aware with a strong client-focused approach
  • Comfortable managing a portfolio and taking ownership of client relationships
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ambitious, proactive, and comfortable working independently
  • Exposure to clients across multiple sectors would be advantageous
