We are working with a top 10 accountancy firm in their search for a Private Client Tax Manager to join their Bradford office.
 
Job description
 
You will manage a portfolio of clients, oversee tax compliance and advisory work, identify opportunities for tax planning and provide guidance to more junior members of the team.
 
This role would suit a qualified tax professional with strong private client experience who is looking to take ownership of a portfolio, develop client relationships and play an active role in the growth and development of the wider team.
 
Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage your own portfolio of private client tax work, including compliance and advisory matters
  • Provide specialist advice across personal and private client taxation
  • Identify and manage tax issues, projects and planning opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
  • Act as a key point of contact for client queries and provide clear, commercially focused advice
  • Ensure client portfolios are managed effectively and HMRC deadlines are met
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure work is delivered accurately and on time
  • Contribute to workflow planning and the effective running of the department
  • Monitor utilisation, productivity and WIP across your portfolio
  • Support the development of junior team members through guidance, coaching and feedback
  • Identify opportunities to develop new work and contribute to the growth of the wider practice

Ideal Candidate:

  • CTA, ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent qualified
  • Strong previous experience in Private Client, Personal Tax or Mixed Tax within an accountancy practice
  • Strong technical knowledge across personal taxation
  • Confident researching and interpreting complex areas of tax legislation
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills
  • Commercially minded with an ability to identify tax planning and business development opportunities
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Comfortable providing guidance and support to junior colleagues
  • Proactive, professional and keen to develop your career within a growing tax team
