We are seeking an experienced Family law professional to join this well established North East law firm.
 
Job Description:
 
 
You will be joining a well established firm who are looking to expand their family team.
 
Ideally, you should hold the additional qualification to act as Supervisor of a Family Legal Aid contract. The role would involve both Public & Private matters, some funded via Legal aid.
 
Role responsibilities:

• Advise and represent clients in financial remedy proceedings, including asset division, spousal maintenance, and pension sharing.
• Draft, negotiate, and review consent orders and financial agreements.
• Handle private law cases involving child arrangements (contact and residence).
• Represent clients in disputes concerning parental responsibility, relocation, or specific issue orders.
• Prepare and represent clients in applications for non-molestation and occupation orders.
• Provide urgent support and advice in domestic abuse situations.
• Work closely with support agencies and police where appropriate.
• Assess client eligibility for Legal Aid and complete funding applications.
• Deliver accessible legal advice to vulnerable clients, often in emotionally complex situations.

Candidate Requirements:

• 1-5 years PQE
• Legal Aid experience is desirable
• Solid Family Law Experience
