Overview and Opportunity:
Achieve Professionals are looking to speak with experienced and enthusiastic Family Law Partners to join a Legal 500 firm based in Newcastle.  
 
Job Description:
We are working with a highly respected firm with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional client service across all areas of law.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage a full caseload of complex matrimonial and high net worth matters with assets and worth upward of several millions. This caseload will also include financial provision cases such as business assets, pensions, family trusts in divorce, TOLATA cases and pre/post nuptial agreements.
  • Oversee and manage complex family law cases from inception to resolution, ensuring an exceptional standard of service and client care
  • Represent clients in family law proceedings before the relevant courts and tribunals, including drafting legal documents, preparing cases and advocating on behalf of clients.
  • Foster a supportive environment within the family team by leading, mentoring and developing junior solicitors and support staff within the family law team, ensuring a collaborative and high-performing work environment
  • Drive growth within the department by building relationships with clients, referrers and industry stakeholders, in line with the Firm’s growth strategy.
  • Ensure the department complies with all regulatory requirements, internal policies and best practice standards
  • Oversee budgeting, billing and financial performance of the department, ensuring profitability and efficient resource allocation

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven track record of managing complex high net worth family law cases and delivering successful outcomes for clients
  • Dynamic leadership skills, with experience in managing and developing teams
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and colleagues
  • Excellent understanding of family law and relevant legislation with an ability to remain up to date in all legal developments
  • Commercial awareness and experience in business development within a legal context
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding client service and maintaining confidentiality
