We are supporting our client in their search for an experienced Corporate Tax Senior Manager for their Guildford office, with a salary on offer of £80,000-£110,000 per year.
Job description
You will oversee complex tax engagements, providing strategic advice on corporate tax compliance and planning; as well as managing key client relationships, mentor teams, and contribute to business development initiatives.
Main Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor and primary contact, maintaining regular dialogue to understand client needs, tailor services, and identity new business opportunities
- Deliver outstanding service internally and externally, anticipating client challenges and proactively offering solutions
- Ensure high technical standards by guiding team development, staying up to date on legislative and regulatory changes, and communicating their impact
- Work with other service lines to resolve complex client issues and deliver integrated solutions
- Take ownership of work quality, give constructive feedback and continuously improve team output and presentation
- Make informed, data-driven decisions in line with the firm processes
- Promote smarter, technology-enabled working practices, encourage team ideas for improvement, and implement efficiency gains
- Motivate and mentor team members, manage performance, support growth, and foster an inclusive, high-morale culture
- Show resilience, self-awareness, and accountability with yourself and the team
- Build networks, spot opportunities for growth, promote services to clients and referrers, and contribute to achieving team and firm-wide growth targets
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in a corporate tax management role within an established chartered accountancy
- Holds an accountancy and/or tax qualification (ATT/CTA/ACA/ACCA/CA) or qualified by experience
- Comfortable in a team leadership role and able to nurture junior members of the team
