We are supporting a growing Law Firm based in Teesside with the appointment of two Residential Conveyancers.
 
Job Description
 
I’m delighted to be supporting a growing law firm in their search for a skilled Residential Conveyancer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable team where you’ll handle a diverse caseload of residential property matters from start to finish. Our client is looking for someone with solid conveyancing experience, excellent attention to detail, and a client-first approach to service.
 
Role Responsibilities 

• Reviewing Land Registry documents to confirm key details of properties being bought or sold
• Managing client due diligence, including ID and source of funds verification via the firm’s systems
• Drafting and preparing legal documentation, including contracts and transfer deeds
• Reviewing and checking contracts, transfer deeds, and mortgage offers for accuracy and compliance
• Assessing protocol documents and raising relevant enquiries on purchase matters
• Carrying out property searches and reviewing results to advise clients accordingly
• Preparing clear and comprehensive property reports for clients on purchase transactions
• Liaising with lenders to request funds and obtain redemption statements for sales
• Drafting completion statements and arranging all aspects of the completion process
• Overseeing the exchange of contracts and successful completion of purchase and sale transactions
• Maintaining consistent communication with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and mortgage brokers to ensure smooth progress of each matter
• Preparing completion statements and setting up transactions for completion 
• Exchanging contracts 
• Completing purchase/sale transactions 
• Continued communication with clients, other solicitors, estate agents and mortgage brokers throughout the process 

Candidate Requirements 

• Previous experience in a residential conveyancing position 
• A keen eye for detail 
• Mathematical skills 
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• IT skills
