We are supporting a growing accountancy firm in their appointment of a new Tax Advisory Partner for any of their national branches.
 
Job Description
 
The firm is looking for someone with a passion for business development and drive to build their own division.
 
You will be tasked with overseeing and driving the growth of the tax advisory department, which currently consists of two Senior Managers and three other team members who manage annual non-GRF advisory work.
 
Role Responsibilities 

  • Lead the client’s national tax advisory department.
  • Maintain and strengthen key internal relationships across the firm’s offices.
  • Develop and implement tax initiatives to drive growth of the annual fee base and strategic expansion of the division.
  • Manage and oversee a team currently comprising Senior Managers and other staff delivering annual non-GRF advisory work.
  • Support and collaborate with the accountancy and audit partner group to provide tax solutions for the client’s growing client base.
  • Drive business development with a focus on expanding tax advisory services.
  • Lead and develop a national tax advisory team, shaping its strategy and structure.
  • Oversee both corporate and private client tax planning and advisory project-based work.
  • Identify and lead on topical, market-relevant tax initiatives.
  • Play an active role in developing the wider tax department across the client’s six UK offices

Candidate Requirements 

  • Proven experience as a Tax Advisory Partner or Senior Manager.
  • Strong background in both corporate and private client tax planning.
  • Significant exposure to tax advisory and project-based work.
  • Track record in business development and driving growth within a tax practice.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong relationship management skills to engage with internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Commercially focused with the drive to grow a division and its service offering.
  • Ability to work nationally across multiple office locations.
