Role: Audit Senior
Location: Plymouth 
Salary: £32,000 – £40,000
 
The Role:
 
Our client is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join a growing accountancy practice and dynamic audit team in Plymouth. This role is ideal for a part-qualified or qualified audit professional looking to progress their career within a supportive and collaborative environment in the South West of England.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, control, and conduct audit fieldwork for a diverse portfolio of clients under the supervision of senior management
  • Prepare financial statements for audit and non-audit clients
  • Develop and mentor junior team members
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Interpret and communicate technical accounting and auditing issues clearly and practically
  • Conduct technical research and provide advice to clients and colleagues
  • Support senior managers in business development and generating new work opportunities
  • Engage with local business communities and support networking activities
  • Work on client engagements across the region as needed

Candidate Profile:

  • ACA or ACCA part-qualified or fully qualified with relevant audit experience
  • Strong knowledge of UK Financial Reporting Standards and International Auditing Standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including complex spreadsheets), Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with Caseware audit software is advantageous
  • Familiarity with Sage Accounts software is a plus
  • Outgoing, socially confident, and emotionally controlled
  • Resilient and able to multi-task, working independently as well as part of a team
  • Adaptable, organized, and conscientious
  • Professional, evaluative mindset with a team-oriented approach
