Role: Tax Senior

About the Role:
A well-established and growing accountancy practice in the South West is seeking a Tax Senior to join their expanding Exeter office. With a supportive team culture, flexible working arrangements, and a focus on employee development, this role offers a great opportunity for someone looking to advance their tax career in a dynamic environment.
Due to continued growth and demand for tax services, they are looking for a qualified Tax Technician or experienced Tax Senior to support their Exeter-based Tax Compliance team. The role involves working with a diverse portfolio of clients and offers exposure to complex compliance work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Handle complex statutory residence test issues
- Provide support to clients with remittance basis and non-domicile matters
- Analyse double tax treaties and provide practical advice
- Advise on foreign income and gains rules, including overseas trust implications
- Prepare tax returns for individuals, trusts, and partnerships
- Identify and mitigate tax risks
- Ensure compliance with internal processes, professional ethics, and regulatory standards
- Provide administrative support to senior team members as needed
Candidate Profile:
- A few years’ experience in a practice-based tax role, with a strong focus on compliance
- ATT qualified, part-qualified CTA, or qualified by experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proactive, well-organized, and capable of working independently
- Confident handling a range of technical tax issues
- Competent in MS Office applications and comfortable using practice software
- Strong attention to detail with a professional and team-oriented approach
