Role: Credit Controller
Location: Hartlepool
Salary: £30,000-£35,000 per year

Overview and Opportunity:
Achieve Professionals are working with one of our returning clients in their search for a Credit Controller to join their finance team.

Job Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the firm’s credit control function, ensuring timely
collection of outstanding client balances, and maintaining strong relationships with both clients and
internal departments.

Candidates must have strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with an exceptional eye for detail.
 
Role Responsibilities

  • Working within a busy collections team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the
    chasing of and collection of overdue invoices
  • You’ll handle a large volume of communications including phone calls and emails with and
    from clients
  • Prepare reports for the wider finance team with accurate updates
  • Deal with invoice queries
  • Handle all credit-based administrative duties
  • Manage debtor ledger balances

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Credit Controller within a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Experience in a law firm is beneficial, but not essential
  • Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of managing a diverse debtor book
  • Experience of dealing directly with clients
  • Strong accounting background
