Job Description:
We are seeking Labor & Employment professionals to join this internationally respected, globally recognised Legal 500 law firm.
Counsel professionals will have the chance to progress to senior counsel. Once at senior counsel position, you will be available to be considered for partnership positions.
About the Role:
- Advise employers on compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including wage and hour regulations, discrimination, and employee rights.
- Prepare, review, and update employment agreements, non-compete clauses, and employee handbooks to ensure they align with current laws and best practices.
- Represent clients in resolving disputes related to workplace harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, and other employment-related issues.
- Defend employers in litigation, including lawsuits, administrative complaints, and investigations by agencies like the EEOC or Department of Labor.
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in labor and employment law for Counsel candidates and 7+ years of experience for Senior Counsel candidates.
- Have a strong background in Texas employment litigation and advice and counseling.
- Significant experience with adversary proceedings, including litigating matters in both state and federal courts.
Salary & Benefits:
- $275,000-$300,000
- Earn a $2,500 vacation stipend after meeting billable thresholds.
- Eligible lawyers with 250+ BD hours receive firm-sponsored coaching.
