Achieve Professionals are delighted to be supporting a successful Chartered Accountants in their continued growth as they are looking for an experienced Audit Semi-Senior/Senior.
 
Job Description 
 
In this role, you will have the opportunity to join a forward thinking accountancy practice, leading on-site audit fieldwork at clients’ premises, liaising with clients’ senior management and managing the audit team on site.
 
You will report directly to one of the firm’s Audit Managers, taking responsibility for the completion of audit files and the drafting of audited financial statements.
 
Role Responsibilities 

  • Assist in the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements for a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with auditing standards.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact during audits.
  • Oversee and support junior staff, providing training and reviewing their work.
  • Prepare and review financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Identify audit risks and assist in developing effective testing strategies.
  • Ensure audits are completed in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
  • Draft audit reports and present key findings to managers and partners.
  • Assist in identifying ways to enhance audit processes and improve efficiency

Candidate Requirements 

  • Qualified ACA or ACCA with at least 2 years external audit experience, ideally with experience of auditing UK owner managed and family businesses who report under FRS102
  • A minimum of 12 months experience of leading on-site audit assignments and reporting to audit managers and partner
  • Strong accounts experience
  • Excellent communicator who needs to be able to work as part of a growing team, dealing with clients and other team members with a variety of experience alike 
  • Full UK driving license
