Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum

Role Overview:
As an Audit Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in managing audits from start to finish, working closely with clients, and overseeing a team of auditors. You’ll be responsible for ensuring audits are completed efficiently and in compliance with regulations, all while helping to build lasting client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in leading and managing audits from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with UK auditing standards.
  • Supervise and support a team of auditors, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Maintain and build strong relationships with clients, addressing any queries and offering advisory services.
  • Review financial statements and working papers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support the audit manager in managing client portfolios and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Help with the preparation of reports and ensuring audits are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of audit processes and procedures.

What We’re Looking For:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with a strong foundation in audit.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an audit role, with some experience in managing audits or teams.
  • Solid understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS, and relevant auditing standards.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and work effectively with teams.
  • Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with audit software and Microsoft Office.
