Commercial Litigation Associate/Senior Associate

We are looking for a Commercial Litigation Associate/Senior to join our client in their Preston Office.
This is a full-time role working 36.25 hours per week, Monday- Friday, 9am until 5pm. Hybrid working arrangements may be available depending on operational requirements.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Commercial Litigation Solicitor looking for a new challenge to join our award-winning Commercial Litigation team, to progress their career and bring their skills and knowledge to a collaborative and professional team.
Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on a wide range of Commercial Litigation matters, including but not limited to: shareholder actions, disputes between directors, partnership disputes, Breach of contract/warranty, Professional negligence, Commercial contracts disputes and enforcement, Media and PR disputes, Non-Disclosure and Licensing Agreements, public procurement challenges, legal relationships in the construction and manufacturing sectors;
- Sound knowledge of civil procedure and the CPR;
- Utilising your own professional contacts to further the team’s success and growth such as with work referrers, clients and experts;
- Contributing to the development and implementation of the departmental strategic business plan and be aware of new work opportunities to drive business growth within the department;
Requirements:
- qualified Solicitor (or CILEX equivalent) with at least 5+ PQE (Associate level) or at least 8+ PQE (Senior Associate level) within a Commercial Litigation department;
- demonstratable experience and expert knowledge in commercial litigation and the court systems is essential;
- previous experience of supervising other advisors, from Solicitors to Paralegals;
- previous experience of leading and advising on complex and high value Commercial Litigation matters in both the County Court and on High Court;
- experience of handling large projects and business development activities;
- experience of tender applications is an advantage;
- Excellent client care skills, providing professional and competent legal advice in accordance with SRA Code of Conduct;
