Role: Employment Solicitor
Location: Manchester/Lancashire
Salary: £55,000-£60,000
 
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Employment Solicitor to progress their career and bring their experience and knowledge into a collaborative and professional team.
 
This role will be supporting the Commercial Employment team and will have exposure to a varies caseload of Employment matters.
 
Role Responsibilities:

• Managing a varied case load of Employment matters;
• Attending/representing at Tribunal hearings for a wide variety of hearings, including- Unfair dismissals, Discrimination, TUPE and Redundancy.
• Representation at internal client hearings such as disciplinaries, dismissals, grievances, appeals and conducting investigations.
• Provision of written and verbal advice in litigates and non-litigated matters.
• Communications with client, opponents, Courts/Tribunals and third parties to progress files.
• Provision and supervision of value-added services- client helpline calls/emails, legal surgeries, briefing notes etc.
• Supporting the Head of Department, Partners and other advisors on their own cases, and the delivery of the departmental strategy and business objectives.
• Ensuring compliance with internal and external business requirements including ISO:9001 quality control, SRA Principles/Code of Conduct, and Court & Tribunal deadlines.

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor/CILEX equivalent minimum 2 years PQE.
• Previous experience of working within the Employment legal sector is essential.
• Desire to conduct advocacy in Courts or Tribunals is essential including the ability and willingness to travel throughout England.
• Good client care skills, providing professional and competent legal advice in accordance with the SRA Code of Conduct.
• Experience handling own caseload, working to and managing deadlines and the capability to generate fees in accordance with agreed targets.
