Role: Commercial Property Solicitor
Location: Manchester/Lancashire
Salary: £40,000-£60,000
We are looking for a Commercial Property Solicitor to join our Law firm clients expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Commercial Property/Real Estate Solicitor looking for a new challenge to progress their career and bring their skills and knowledge to a collaborative and professional team.
The role will also provide a sustainable work-life balance and relate to the regional area in which it is based. You will play a key role in providing expert legal advice and guidance on Commercial Property matters. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of legal issues within the real estate sector.
Role Responsibilities:
- Advising on a wide range Commercial Property matters, including but not limited to, the sale, purchase and lease of land or property; development; property finance and investment ;
- Contributing to the development and implementation of the departmental strategic plan to drive business growth;
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with current/prospective clients , referrers and stakeholders and enhancing the firm’s profile;
- Contributing to business development including, presentations and training events, articles/newsletters, Chambers & Legal 500 submissions, etc.
- Supporting the Head of Department, Partners and other advisors on their own cases, and the delivery of the departmental strategy and business objectives;
- Management, supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring of (and delegation of work to) Solicitors and Paralegals – to facilitate the achievement of their business objectives and professional development goals;
- Ensuring compliance with internal and external business requirements including ISO:9001 quality control, SRA Principles / Code of Conduct, Court & Tribunal deadlines
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor/ CILEX equivalent with at least 3 years + PQE within a Commercial Property department.
- Demonstratable experience and expert knowledge of the Real Estate/Property sector is essential.
- Experience of supervising other advisors, from Solicitors to Paralegals.
- Experience of advising on complex Commercial Property matters.
- Experience of handling large projects and business development activities.
- Strong presentation and client handling skills and be commercially astute.
- Good knowledge of IT systems, including, Word, Outlook and case management systems.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
