£40,000 per year
Monday-Friday, Full-Time with Hybrid Working

We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified accountant to join our client’s growing Audit & Assurance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong audit background to manage complex audits, develop junior staff, and build long-term relationships with clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive audit planning memorandum and discuss with senior management.
  • Conduct audits in compliance with the firm’s established procedures, collaborating with senior team members as required.
  • Oversee the progress of audit assignments, ensuring deadlines and budgets are adhered to, addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Supervise and review the work of junior staff, both on-site and in the office, and complete sections as needed.
  • Sign off on audit sections, address any outstanding issues, and ensure all files are completed before passing them to senior management for review.
  • Prepare financial statements for key clients, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and budget expectations.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Fully ACA or ACCA qualified with significant practice experience.
  • Proven track record of leading audits from planning to completion, working with commercial clients.
  • Strong skills in accounts preparation and managing audit processes.
  • Experience with audit software such as CaseWare, alongside proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
  • Experience supervising junior staff and helping them develop professionally.
  • In-depth technical knowledge, particularly of FRS 102.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Client-focused, with a commercial mindset and strong problem-solving abilities.
