Location: Scotland (offices across Scotland with hybrid working options)
Salary: £35,000-£45,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tax Manager to join a well-established Chartered Accountancy practice based in Scotland. With a competitive salary range of £35,000-£45,000 per annum (dependent on experience), this is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tax professional looking to make a significant impact within a forward-thinking team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring full compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Oversee timely and accurate submission of tax returns, payments, and liabilities, effectively managing risk and avoiding penalties.
- Provide expert tax advice and strategic planning services to a diverse client base.
- Manage complex tax matters, including acquisitions, international tax issues, and other technical transactions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for HMRC inquiries, managing investigations and resolving disputes in a professional and efficient manner.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, gaining a thorough understanding of their tax needs and business operations.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, providing ongoing support, guidance, and training to help them progress.
- Collaborate with the wider audit and accounting teams to deliver integrated services to clients.
- Ensure the smooth running of the department by effectively coordinating team workflows and prioritising client deliverables.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Tax Manager or Senior Tax role within a reputable accounting firm.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK taxation, including corporate, personal, and international tax.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality results.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Professional accounting qualifications, such as ICAS or ACCA.
- Adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
