We are seeking a Solicitor to join our client Law Firms busy Family Law department in either their Hartlepool or Stockton office in the UK. 
 
Job Description:

• There is scope to undertake some public law cases if you have experience.
• You will work be as part of a large legal aid family law team.
• This role involves meeting clients, preparing applications, representing clients at court hearings and a commitment to developing skills and knowledge in this area.
• Advising clients in relation to those areas of family law.
• Drafting court documents including Non-Molestation and Occupation applications, warning letters, Children Act applications and statements, Divorce Petitions, Financial remedy documentation and general correspondence.
• Preparing cases for court hearings, including trial bundles and briefing counsel as required.
• Undertaking advocacy at court. 
• Applying for funding via CCMS and assessment of Legal Help cases.

Candidate Requirements:

• You must be capable of running your own caseload consisting of domestic abuse, private children matters, divorce and finance and initial advice in PLO matters is desirable
• You will need to have experience of working on your own cases in a Family Law department, including Legal Help cases, a genuine passion for this area of law with a commitment to providing an excellent and prompt service to the public.
• You should be a qualified Solicitor
• You will need to have excellent time management skills and good PC and case management skills.
