We are working with a group of companies in Teesside in their search for an Accounts and Office Administrator, with a salary on offer of up to £27,500 per year.
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience in dealing with the accounts or finances of a business, and comfortable in dealing with invoicing. Candidates for this role must have a positive, and proactive attitude.
In this role, you will also be required to provide office administration support to the Directors of the group. This is a fully office-based role, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm with a degree of flexibility, as well as 1 day working from home per week.
Main Responsibilities of the role:
- Managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities across a portfolio of clients
- Sales ledger including raising invoices and credit control
- Purchase ledger including reconciling supplier statements
- Processing and reconciling bank transactions
- Preparing VAT returns
- Preparing and posting journals
- Making payments to suppliers and creditors
- Checking and processing expense claims
- Handle general office administration and support the office with its organisation and efficiency
Essential Requirements and Qualifications:
- Have experience in an accounts or office administration role, or similar
- Have excellent attention to detail, possess good initiative and be able to work independently
- Be a confident communicator
- Have experience with a variation of accounting software (Xero, Sage, FreeAgent, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
