Role: Dispute Resolution Solicitor or Legal Executive
Salary: £35,000-£45,000
Location: Torquay, UK
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Dispute Resolution Solicitor or Legal Executive capable of working throughout the whole range of litigation disputes to join one of the largest legal practices in the South West.
The role will be broad and varied, with the successful candidate carrying a mixed caseload of both litigious and non-contentious general civil/commercial matters for individuals and businesses.
Skill and Knowledge:
We are seeking someone who is keen to develop professional skills, expertise and experience in the area of dispute resolution. They should be aware of current issues and updates.
Our experienced litigators provide expertise in a wide range of disputes including:
- Landlord and tenant matters
- Contract disputes
- Shareholder and director disputes
- Construction work
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate their knowledge in these areas and could be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or a practicing lawyer with at least 3 years of running their own caseload with the majority of this being dispute resolution and have the same amount of experience in litigation matters.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate must be professional, organised, competent, enthusiastic and ambitious. To work with other fee earners and seek advice and assistance whenever needed to develop knowledge and skills, and to improve ability,
There will be a requirement to provide a high quality, effective, legal service. There will be an expectation to promote and develop the firm and more specifically, the Dispute Resolution Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must be able to work effectively within a team, as well as efficiently running an individual caseload.
- Willingness to promote the firm and develop personal connections: to market the services of the department internally to the rest of the firm and for the firm as a whole externally.
- Need to have access to a vehicle for work use and be insured for work purposes.
This is a position within a large successful law firm with various offices across the South West.
