Salary: £30,000 – £37,000 
 
Job Description
 
We are offering a full-time position for a Family Law Solicitor to join a law firm in Blackburn. The successful candidate will manage a range of family law cases, including both privately and publicly funded matters, with a focus on divorce, financial settlements, and private law children cases. Responsibilities include providing exceptional client service, assessing clients’ financial eligibility, explaining funding options, instructing and liaising with counsel, experts, and third parties, and conducting advocacy when required. The role also demands strict adherence to the LAA’s Standard Civil Contract, the SRA Code of Conduct, and Lexcel practice standards.
 
Person Specification

• A minimum of 1 year PQE or equivalent experience
• Excellent client care skills
• Experience working with sensitive and vulnerable clients
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and work independently
• Strong caseload management and project-management skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
