We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor to join an award winning large personal injury law firm in Scotland. 
 
Position: Personal Injury Solicitor 
Location: Glasgow/ Edinburgh

Job Description 
 
 You will work within the Mass Litigation Team handling a broad spectrum of complex legal cases, offering exposure to a diverse range of litigation matters. This includes claims related to personal injury, financial loss, employer’s liability, product liability, data breaches, and breach of contract disputes. As a member of the team, you will be involved in all stages of the litigation process, from initial case assessment to resolution, working on high-profile cases that have significant legal and financial implications. 
 
The role will involve: 

  • Caseload Management: Work collaboratively with a team of like-minded professionals on a mix of pre-litigation and litigation cases. 
  • Court Work: Get hands-on experience with cases in ASPIC and the Court of Session. 
  • Team Support: Contribute to training and mentoring junior members of the team. 
  • Investigations & Statements: Conduct liability investigations and gather witness statements. 
  • Medical Expert Coordination: Liaise with and instruct medical experts. 
  • Legal Documentation: Draft a range of legal documents, including writs. 
  • Court Appearances: Consult with Counsel and represent clients in court. 

Person Specification

  • You must be able to commute to either our Glasgow or Edinburgh office (Edinburgh-based candidates must be willing to attend Glasgow for team meetings as required).
  • A minimum of 2 years PQE is essential. Please note, trainees and NQ solicitors will not be considered.
  • Experience in a varied personal injury background is essential.
  • Experience of data breach claims and/or breach of contract disputes is desirable, but not essential.
