We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor to join a large and successful personal injury law firm. The successful candidate will work within the Industrial Disease (non-asbestos) Team in either the Glasgow or Edinburgh office.

Job Description
 
 You will assist individuals suffering from industrial diseases such as vibration-related injuries, noise-induced hearing loss, skin disease, and lung disease. You will be part of a supportive team and benefit from the mentorship of experienced professionals in the highly specialised field. 
 
The role involves: 

  • Caseload Management: Work collaboratively with a team of like-minded professionals on a mix of pre-litigation and litigation cases. 
  • Court Work: Get hands-on experience with cases in ASPIC ad the Court of Session. 
  • Team Support: Contribute to training and mentoring trainees
  • Investigations & Statements: Conduct liability investigations and gather witness statements. 
  • Medical Expert Coordination: Liaise with and instruct medical experts. 
  • Legal Documents: Draft a range of legal documents, including writs. 
  • Court Appearances: Consult with Counsel and represent clients in court. 

Job Specification 

  • A minimum of 1 year PQE is essential (Trainees and NQ will not be considered) 
  • Experience in disease cases is highly desirable, but we will consider candidates with a background in personal injury work). 
  • You must be able to commute to either the Glasgow or Edinburgh office.
