Overview and Opportunity
 
We are seeking a qualified Associate to join this leading US Law Firm in their Mergers And Acquisitions Chicago sector. Our client is looking for Associates with 3-6 years of experience to join their associate class, offering the opportunity to work with a very well-establish Law Firm. 
 
Their Chicago office has 200+ associates and provide services to US and global clients. This Chicago office routinely advises on high-profile M&A, capital markets, public company, banking, restructuring, real estate, and shareholder activism matters.
 
Role Responsibilities

• Conducting thorough investigations of financial, legal, and operational aspects of target companies.
• Preparing and reviewing transaction documents, including purchase agreements, term sheets, and confidentiality agreements.
• Providing legal advice to clients on deal structures, risks, and regulatory issues.
• Analyzing applicable laws and regulations, including antitrust, securities, and tax laws.
• Assisting with closing procedures, including managing logistics, and ensuring compliance with deal terms.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 2 full years working primarily on M&A transactions
• Experience in mergers and acquisitions- specifically company representation and strategic acquisitions

Remuneration and Benefits

• Significant merit-based bonus
• Awarded in recognition of individual performance and contributions for the year, as well as firm performance
• More to be discussed at interview stage
• Salary range of $225,000-$435,000
