Salary: £150,000 (Tax Free)
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join a prestigious, growing law firm in Dubai. This company has a global presence across EMEA.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) and a proven track record of providing expert legal advice and representation to clients in a range of complex matters. This role demands exceptional legal acumen, strategic thinking and the ability to manage high-stakes legal issues in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Role Responsibilities:
- Legal Advisory: Provide high-level legal advice to clients on a variety of corporate, commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters.
- Case Management: Oversee and manage a diverse caseload, ensuring effective and timely resolution of legal issues.
- Client Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering tailored legal solutions and enhancing client satisfaction.
- Contract Negotiation and Drafting: Lead negotiations and draft complex contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Represent clients in litigation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution proceedings. Provide strategic direction and manage external counsel as necessary.
- Regulatory Compliance: Advise clients on regulatory and compliance matters, ensuring adherence to local and international laws and regulations.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior legal staff, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Business Development: Contribute to the firm’s growth by identifying new business opportunities, participating in marketing efforts, and enhancing the firm’s market presence.
- Legal Research: Stay abreast of legal developments, conducting thorough research to support client needs and ensure the provision of up-to-date legal advice.
Candidate Requirements:
- 10 years of legal experience at top international law firms and in-house legal departments.
- Common law qualified and have trained in a top tier western jurisdiction, and an international standard law firm.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team, delegate tasks and prioritise work effectively.
- Strong command of English.
