IP Biotechnology Patent Associate or Agent

$150,000-$260,000 per year, DOE

Achieve Professionals are looking for an IP Biotechnology Patent Associate or Agent with 3+ years of patent counseling experience to join an incredible, well-established law firm. This position is within the firm’s Intellectual Department’s Chemical, Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Practice Group in a variation of their offices.

Candidates must hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school. 
 
Requirements:

• Must hold a PhD in the biological sciences (i.e. Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or Genetics) or a related field, and a USPTO registration number
• Have experience drafting and prosecuting domestic and international patent applications and preferably also in preparing patent opinions specifically in biotechnology or similar technology
• Have immediately transferable skills
• Strong legal writing and research skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Top academics and law firm experience
• Must have a strong academic background
• Must be registered to practice before the Patent Office
