Achieve Professionals is working in partnership with a well-established law firm to recruit a Residential Conveyancer to join its team in Scarborough.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Residential Property Solicitor, Legal Executive or Conveyancer with around 3+ years’ experience to join a supportive and established team.
The successful candidate will manage their own caseload and provide a high-quality legal service to clients across a broad range of residential conveyancing matters.
The role offers a strong level of autonomy alongside established support staff, allowing the successful candidate to focus on fee-earning and delivering an excellent service to clients.
Based in Scarborough, the firm offers a 9am-5pm working day, hybrid working arrangements and a flexible approach to working, alongside a strong benefits package.
The Role
As a Residential Conveyancer, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion.
- Providing clear, practical and client-focused legal advice.
- Preparing and drafting correspondence, contracts, legal documents and other relevant documentation.
- Dealing with all aspects of client files and progressing matters efficiently.
- Conducting client interviews and taking instructions.
- Communicating with clients, other solicitors, estate agents, lenders and relevant third parties.
- Preparing bills and claims for disbursements.
- Checking and chasing outstanding accounts where required.
- Ensuring client files are accurate, up to date and maintained in accordance with office procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with the firm’s procedures, office systems and regulatory requirements.
- Working effectively with established support staff to ensure matters progress smoothly.
- Contributing to the achievement of the firm’s objectives and financial targets.
- Maintaining consistently high standards of client care and service.
- Undertaking any other duties reasonably required in relation to the management and progression of client files.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive, or be an experienced Residential Conveyancer.
- Around 3+ years’ experience within residential conveyancing.
- Strong knowledge of the residential conveyancing process.
- Experience managing a caseload with the ability to work independently.
- Strong drafting and communication skills.
- Excellent client care and relationship-building skills.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to file management.
- A proactive and professional approach.
- The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.
- A commitment to delivering a high-quality legal service.
- Previous experience working within a private practice environment.
