Location – Ipswich & Hybrid working
 
An established accountancy practice is looking for an experienced Accounts Manager to join its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to take ownership of a varied client portfolio, build strong client relationships and play an active role in developing junior members of the team.
 
The Role

• Manage a portfolio of clients with a high level of responsibility
• Oversee your team’s client portfolios and contribute to workflow planning
• Take responsibility for delivering work to agreed quality, deadlines and budgets
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
• Provide high-quality accounting and business advice to clients
• Identify opportunities to support the wider business and work with Directors/Partners where appropriate
• Work proactively with clients, reducing the need for senior-level involvement
• Coach, mentor and develop junior members of the team
• Work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team

About You
 

• ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent qualification
• Previous experience managing a varied client portfolio
• Strong client relationship and communication skills
• Experience working with clients across a range of industries
• Previous experience coaching and mentoring junior team members
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of client delivery
