Role: Audit Senior
Location: Weston-super-Mare
Salary: £36,000 – £40,000
The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join a growing accountancy practice and dynamic audit team in Weston-super-Mare. This role is ideal for a part-qualified or qualified audit professional looking to progress their career within a supportive and collaborative environment in the South West of England.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, control, and conduct audit fieldwork for a diverse portfolio of clients under the supervision of senior management
- Prepare financial statements for audit and non-audit clients
- Develop and mentor junior team members
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Interpret and communicate technical accounting and auditing issues clearly and practically
- Conduct technical research and provide advice to clients and colleagues
- Support senior managers in business development and generating new work opportunities
- Engage with local business communities and support networking activities
- Work on client engagements across the region as needed
Candidate Profile:
- ACA or ACCA part-qualified or fully qualified with relevant audit experience
- Strong knowledge of UK Financial Reporting Standards and International Auditing Standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including complex spreadsheets), Word, and Outlook
- Experience with Caseware audit software is advantageous
- Familiarity with Sage Accounts software is a plus
- Outgoing, socially confident, and emotionally controlled
- Resilient and able to multi-task, working independently as well as part of a team
- Adaptable, organized, and conscientious
- Professional, evaluative mindset with a team-oriented approach
