Role: Accounts Technician
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 DOE
Location: Bridgwater
The Role:
Our client, a well-established accountancy practice, is looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Technician to join their friendly and professional team in Bridgewater. Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and maintenance of accurate client accounting records
- Managing purchase invoices, payments, and sales ledger
- Bank reconciliations and ledger management
- Assisting with VAT returns and compliance
- Supporting audits and liaising with clients where necessary
- Payroll administration (if applicable)
- Providing general financial and administrative support to the team
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience as an Accounts Technician or similar role within an accountancy practice
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Good knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, and VAT
- Effective communication and organisational skills
- Relevant accounting qualifications (e.g., AAT Level 3)
