Achieve Professionals are working with an international firm in their search for a mid-level Associate to join their Financial Institutions team in New York City.
 
Job Description: 
 
For this role, candidates must have 3-5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: bank/bank holding company/foreign bank regulation, broker-dealer regulation, swap dealer/derivatives regulation, investment advisor/investment company regulation and/or collateral/collateral enforcement/creditors’ rights regulation.
 
Candidates must be admitted to the New York, or D.C. Bar to be considered.
 
Responsibilities:

• Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients on a broad range of financial regulatory matters
• Advise financial institutions on compliance with US and international regulations, including agency guidance and enforcement trends
• Draft, review, and negotiate regulatory filings, agreements, and transactional documents related to financial products and services
• Monitor and analyze evolving laws, regulations, and policies affecting financial institutions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the firm on regulatory matters impacting clients in transactions and operations 

Essential Requirements and Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in general regulatory areas, preferably within New York state
• Admitted to practice in New York or Washington D.C.
• JD from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
• Exceptional legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Strong commitment to client service and teamwork in a fast-paced, international environment

Salary & Benefits:

• The base salary for these roles vary depending on experience, with the starting being $225,000, rising to $435,000 depending on work history.
