Family Office Lawyer (Contracts & Commercial)

We are supporting a Family Office in Gibraltar in their search for an in-house Commercial Lawyer, with a salary on offer of up to £70,000 per year.
In this role, you will play a crucial role in supporting the legal contracts and commercial agreements and ensure that any issues are dealt with in a timely and professional manner. You will also have the support of a paralegal within the department.
This is an office based role with the opportunity for hybrid working within the heart of the Gibraltar office, with exceptional benefits included in the package.
Main Responsibilities:
- Drafting and negotiating a range of legal documents, with a focus on contracts related to debt financing (including loan agreements) and other corporate and commercial documents
- Conducting contract reviews and providing legal advice across a number of legal fields including: private client, commercial, corporate, tax, trusts, and employment law
- Handling cross-border transactional work, particularly in real estate acquisitions (both commercial and residential)
- Handling employment contracts across international jurisdictions
- Preparing legal documents, including corporate resolutions, letters, and other support documents
- Assisting with contract administration, including document management, tracking deadlines and ensuring execution processes are followed
- Report directly to the General Counsel, as well as working closely with other senior members of the Family Office
- Liaising with the Paralegal to ensure that work is completed within a timely manner.
Ideal Candidate:
- A minimum of 2-3 years PQE experience, with a strong academic background
- Strong understanding of legal practice areas, including private client, commercial, corporate, tax and trust matters
- Experience in drafting legal documentation to a high standard
- Familiarity with cross-border transactions, preferably dealing with real estate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with other members within the Family Office, as well as external stakeholders
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, ever changing environment
- Exceptional attention to detail
