In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist individuals suffering from industrial diseases such as vibration-related injuries, noise-induced hearing loss, skin disease, and lung disease.

What the role involves:

• Caseload Management: Work collaboratively with a team of like-minded professionals on a mix of pre-litigation and litigation cases.
• Court Work: Get hands-on experience with cases in ASPIC and the Court of Session.
• Team Support: Contribute to training and mentoring trainees.
• Investigations & Statements: Conduct liability investigations and gather witness statements.
• Medical Expert Coordination: Liaise with and instruct medical experts
• Legal Documentation: Draft a range of legal documents, including writs.
• Court Appearances: Consult with Counsel and represent clients in court.

 
Who we are looking for:

• You must be able to commute to either our Glasgow or Edinburgh office (Edinburgh-based candidates must be willing to attend Glasgow for team meetings as required).
• A minimum of 1 year PQE is essential. Please note, trainees and NQ solicitors will not be considered.
• Must have experience in disease cases.
