Tax Manager 
Scotland 
£35,000-£45,000 per year, DOE
Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week in any of the Scotland offices, with hybrid options available

We are supporting an established Chartered Accountants in their search for a new Tax Manager, with a salary on offer of £35,000-£45,000 per year, DOE.
 
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Head of Tax to manage the operations of the practice and ensure quality service is being delivered to clients.
 
Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and review of all tax returns and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
• Ensure timely and accurate compliance of tax liabilities and submission of tax returns and payments, and avoid any penalties
• Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients 
• Handle all complex tax issues and transactions, including acquisitions, international tax matters, among others
• Be the primary point of contact with HMRC enquiries and investigations, ensuring full cooperation and resolving disputes
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, and have a full understanding of their business and personal tax needs
• Supervise and mentor junior members of the team, providing training, support, and guidance at all times
• Coordinate the work of the team to ensure the best possible operation of the department
• Liaise with audit and accounting teams to provide comprehensive service to clients 

Essential requirements/qualifications:

• Previous experience in a Tax Manager, or Senior role within an established accounting firm
• Ability to work within tight deadlines and deliver results in this period 
• Be able to work within the team and support in a hands-on manner, as well as leading 
• Accounting qualifications, such as ICAS/ACCA
• Able to adapt to last minute changes, and a fast-paced environment
